About This Report

This Sustainability Report (“this Report”) covers the period from 1 January 2023 to 31 December 2023. This Report covers the main businesses of CSHK, including construction and engineering, investment, architectural technology products and information technology. With the aim of presenting the sustainability performances of CSHK’s construction-related businesses, KPI data in this Report includes the operational data of CSHK’s construction project related business only.

About CSHK

CSHK’s parent company, China State Construction International Holdings Limited, is a vertically integrated construction and investment conglomerate, and was listed on the Main Board of the Hong Kong Stock Exchange (Stock Code: 03311) in 2005. CSHK is engaged in building construction, civil engineering, foundation engineering, electrical and mechanical engineering, medical engineering, environmental engineering and other construction-related businesses.

Since 1979, CSHK has been operating construction businesses encompassing building construction, civil engineering, foundation engineering, site survey, electrical and mechanical engineering, among other sub-sectors, and has developed investment, architectural technology products, and information technology businesses in recent years.

Green Building Awards 2023 - Green Building Leadership Pioneer Award

CSHK won the ” Green Building Leadership Pioneer Award” from the “Green Building Awards 2023” for its outstanding performance in sustainable development and green building. As the highest honour in the entire award ceremony, this award recognises our pioneering role in promoting the sustainable built environment in Hong Kong.

PEOPLE

CT good jobs: Best HR Awards 2023

CSHK won the 2023 “Employer of the Year – Grand Award”. This award recognises our commitment to employee service and creating a stimulating and supportive work environment.

ENVIRONMENT

The O•PARK2 built by CSHK, won the Gold Award at the Hong Kong Environmental Excellence Awards.

We have been recognised by the industry for achieving carbon neutrality during the construction period of this project, which is a positive affirmation of CSHK’s exploration of green and low-carbon development.

ALLIANCE

CSHK won two bronze medals at the 48^th International Exhibition of Inventions in Geneva, Switzerland, with its self-developed smart integrated site management solution “C-SMART” and its multi-functional construction site service robot developed in collaboration with Hong Kong Productivity Council.

This achievement underscores our leadership in guiding the industry into digital and smart management, help the government gradually promote “re-industrialisation”.

KEY PROJECTS FOR HONG KONG

CSHK received the Brunel Award from the ICE for its outstanding low-carbon construction technology in O•PARK2, in recognition of the project’s efforts in promoting and implementing low carbon buildings.

In addition , the Tseung Kwan O Desalination Plant built by CSHK was awarded Institution of Civil Engineers Awards 2023 – Edmund Hambly Medal in recognition of the project’s effective reduction of environmental impact during construction and its contribution to climate change mitigation.
